The Legacy
Rise From
the Ashes
Black Bottom was Detroit's oldest African-American neighborhood — named by early settlers for the dark, fertile river-bottom soil. A hub of Black-owned business and a nationally known music scene, it raised champions before it was razed by eminent domain.
Named after the neighborhood that bred Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson — upholding the legacy is in the soul of our team.
We carry that name forward. Black Bottom is a label built on that legacy — discipline, community, and the will to rise — worn with pride, everywhere you go.
